This is a piece by composer Frank Stemper as played by Tessa Lark in the semi-final round of the Irving M. Klein International String Competition in San Francisco, June, 2008. 
Tessa won the Allen R. Weiss Memorial Prize for best performance of this new work commissioned for this competition



The Ravinia Music Festival 2007 and 2008

Tessa Lark was the youngest participant in the Steans Institute's professional strings and piano development program at the Ravinia Music Festival in Chicago in July 2007.  She returned for another season in July 2008.  Tessa performed solos and with chamber groups throughout the month at the Institute's own recital hall in the Ravinial Music Park.  Click on the link, above, to go to the InstantEncore.com page where you can hear all of the 2007 and 2008  Ravinia performances that Tessa was part of, including the Frank Sonata with Ron Regev, piano, and Tessa Lark, Violin, perfomed live at Ravinia.

Violinium Millennium


On
November 12, 2005, Tessa Lark, Concertmaster, and the Starling Chamber Orchestra performed on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.  The 58-minute program may be viewed in its entirety by clicking on the link above, where you may read the program, then click on the "Play this Performance" link at the bottom of that page.  The program's four pieces are folk tales, written specifically for the Starling Chamber Orchestra.  Tessa Lark is the soloist on the 4th and final piece, Johnny Appleseed, that begins at the 40-minute mark.
