Randy Carpenter - Guitar Randy plays guitar and sings lead and harmony vocals when he's not making automobiles for Toyota. He's responsible for most of the original Gospel songs the group performs. You'll see his name by many of the songs on our CDs. From time to time, we get Randy to fill in on bass so John can play guitar and sing. |
Bob Frederick - Banjo Bob is Chair of Biological Sciences at Eastern Kentucky University, plays banjo, and sings harmonies and an occasional lead. His daughter, Tessa, played fiddle on our first CD when she was 9, but at age 19 is more likely to be seen at her Violinium web site! She's playing fiddle on "Listen to the Word of God" on our latest I Thank God Everyday CD. |
Robert Linville - DobroRobert, plays dobro, is a factory engineer in Jackson County, umpires softball, teaches karate, sings baritone, and does most of the talking for the band when we're on stage. He does some talking for the Gideons too from time to time. Email Robert if you want to invite Narrow Road to perform at your event. |
James Shoopman - Mandolin James adjusts insurance claims, plays guitar and sings lead and harmony vocals with Narrow Road, and has coached middle school soccer for over 12 years. He's written some lyrics too. And he's been known to play both guitar and mandolin from time to time, but not at the same time. |
John Utley - Bass John, a retired chef, plays and sings bass. He's been inspired to write a song or two that the band now performs. One is on our newest I Thank God Everyday CD! When he's singing his own songs, John plays guitar. When he's not playing with the band, he's been known to play piano, and quite well we might add. |
